One of the most popular places to elope in Charleston SC, is White Point Gardens. This city park is also known as "Battery Park", as it is located in the battery at the edge of the peninsula.
Of course, the gazebo is the preferred location for elopement ceremonies. The gazebo can be reserved through the City of Charleston. Many couples choose to have their ceremony under the gorgeous trees, and then take a few photos in the gazebo.
The park was first used as a public garden in 1837. With the outbreak of the Civil War, it became a fortification for the city. Visitors today also find an impressive display of historic mortars and cannons from the Civil War used to shell as well as defend the city.
Being at the end of the Charleston peninsula, there are great views of Fort Sumter and the Charleston Harbor.
This park is over 5 acres in size, and filled with the live oak trees. It is also a dog friendly park, so you will see many people walking or playing with their dogs!
The walkways with light poles provide additional photo opportunities.
The tree with a low branch is a fun element!
On the other side of the park are some historic homes...
Our most popular elopement package at this location is the KISS followed by the Fairy Tale.
This park could be incorporated into the Capture Charleston elopement package.
